Welcome Back!!

Welcome to another exciting year at Desert Sky Middle School. Within these pages you will find classroom needs, rules, lessons, and activities. If you would like to find out a little more about me and my classroom, check out the contact info link.

 

IMPORTANT:   I would like all my students this year to have a 1 subject note book or drawing pad to take notes and make sketches in. Either would be fine. Students will also need traditional wooden pencils to draw with.

 

CLASSROOM RULES:

  1. Be Respectful.  Each student is expected to treat everybody in the classroom with respect. No name calling, teasing, marking on artwork, etc.
  2. Be Responsible. Each student is to act in a responsible manner. Follow directions, stay on task, etc.
  3. Raise Your Hand. Everyone has a right to be heard and listened to. Raising your hand ensures that only you have the floor and will be heard.
  4. Clean up after yourself. The art room is a shared space and we must all do our job to make this shared space comfortable for all. We use the materials, we put them back.
  5. Never say "I can't". I am unable to help you if you are unwilling to help yourself. By saying "I can't" you are shutting down and unwilling to accept assistance.
  6. No Gum or Candy. This is a school rule and I do diligently enforce it. If you fail to spit it into the garbage upon entering my room it falls under defiance and you will receive a detention.

 

CONSEQUENCES: Not in any order

  1. Incident Report
  2. Detention
  3. Removal from room
  4. Parent Contact
  5. Office Referral
